The Best Dairy-Free Protein Bars That Actually Taste Good

I’ve tried so many protein bars over the years, and honestly, a lot of them just don’t taste good. Most are dry, chalky, or way too sweet. Thankfully, I’ve found a few that I actually enjoy and look forward to eating. In this post, I’m sharing my three favorite protein bars. They are all dairy-free, gluten-free, and have at least 10 grams of protein. They are perfect for when I need a quick snack.

Orgain Chocolate Brownie Protein Snack Bar

Calories: 150

Protein: 10 grams

Fat: 5 grams

Carbs: 19 grams

Texture: Soft, chewy, fudgy, and filled with chocolate chips

Why I love this one: This is the protein bar I eat the most right now. I often eat three of them for a quick breakfast when I need something balanced, easy, and filling. If I don’t eat them for breakfast, I will sometimes have one or two for a snack later in the day. They are dairy-free and made with organic ingredients.

Where To Buy: I usually buy them on amazon, but you can find them at target too.

IQ Protein Bars (Chocolate Sea Salt & Peanut Butter Chip)

The macros on these vary slightly depending on the flavor. I’m listing the macros for my two favorite ones.

Calories: 170 (Chocolate Sea Salt) 160 (Peanut Butter Chip)

Protein: 12 grams ( for both)

Fat: 12 grams (Chocolate Sea Salt) 10 grams (Peanut Butter Chip)

Carbs: 10 grams (Chocolate Sea Salt) 12 grams (Peanut Butter Chip)

Texture: Dense, chewy, and not overly sweet

Why I Love This One: These bars are made with great ingredients, have only 1 gram of sugar, and keep me satisfied for a while. They are higher in fat compared to the other two, which is why I think they feel more filling to me. My favorite flavors are Chocolate Sea Salt and Peanut Butter Chip, and I always have at least one box of each on hand for when I need a quick, balanced snack.

Where To Buy: I usually buy them on Amazon or at Walmart.

Misfits Protein Bar (Caramel Fudge)

Calories: 190

Protein: 15 grams

Fat: 6 grams

Carbs: 22 grams

Texture: Firm and chewy. The texture reminds me of a candy bar.

Why I Love This One: I don’t eat this bar all the time because the ingredients are not as good as the Orgain and IQ bars. Where this one shines is when I’m in the mood for something that tastes like dessert, but has a good amount of protein. It definitely fits the bill! This bar really satisfies a sweet craving in a balanced way.

Where To Buy: I usually buy them from Trader Joes or on Amazon.

Good protein bars can be hard to find, but these three are my go-tos. They taste great, are satisfying, and really convenient. If you are looking for a good dairy-free protein bar, I definitely recommend giving at least one of these a try.
